Pope Francis speaks about the Bangladesh disaster
The Pope has condemned the low wages paid to Bangladeshi garment workers, calling it slavery, and spoken against companies that make profit a priority over a fair wage for workers.
You can take action here by signing a petition to make big brands pay approximately $1 million towards fire and building safety. Clean Clothes has been very active in Bangladesh and other developing countries, and has been trying to get brands like H&M, Primark, Walmart and many others pledge this money. So far only 2 brands have pledged.
You can also refuse to shop at Joe Fresh and any fast fashion company till they have compensated victims and improved their policies.
Please continue to pray for lasting change in the apparel industry. It is the first employer in many countries in their quest for industrialization and often the largest employer in many poor countries.

A social justice pope is the kind of faith leader we need for our troubled unjust times.
