Dear Corpus Christians, I wanted to share this on a personal level, not merely in my capacity as the person managing our web ministry with Rachel.

As one of the fathers attending today's Father's Day brunch, I was doubly grateful.

My brother Fr. Nigel Barrett and I were able to treat our own dad to our traditional Corpus Christi brunch.

And I got to see my firstborn in full glorious flight as Volunteer-in-Chief - a thing that filled me with tremendous fatherly pride. I have watched Faith Barrett quietly planning over the last few weeks, communicating with the office, negotiating details and opinions and advice, putting pieces and people together.

As a result, she was completely supported by a stalwart team of parishioner volunteers today who did an amazing job. Additional special thanks go to Linda Taylor for her steadfast support throughout, and to Amir Khouzam who helped shop for all the food and to all who made generous donations of food, cash and time.

Every seat in the hall was full and we even celebrated two birthdays - one of them an 80th!

Here are photographs from the day - more to come from others! Enjoy!

Rev. Prasanth George Varambinakathu, CMI
