Statement from Concerned Canadian Catholics on the Discoveries in Kamloops

We fall on our knees and mourn the 215 Indigenous children discovered in unmarked graves in Kamloops. They were lost and are now found, if only for us to mourn their loss with the respect due to them. The Kamloops Indian Residential School was run by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate and, later, the Canadian Government. 
Please join in signing this petition to church leadership. The petition challenges the officials of the Church on the inadequacy of the official responses and position and statements on residential schools.
It is a grieving reprimand that comes from the Body of the church — the heart and soul — to the head. Gratitude to our ex-pastor Msgr Sam Bianco for this act of conscience. 
After signing, if you are looking for some other ways to support our Indigenous Peoples at this time, consider making a donation to the charities below.
