We fall on our knees and mourn the 215 Indigenous children discovered in unmarked graves in Kamloops. They were lost and are now found, if only for us to mourn their loss with the respect due to them. The Kamloops Indian Residential School was run by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate and, later, the Canadian Government.
It is a grieving reprimand that comes from the Body of the church — the heart and soul — to the head. Gratitude to our ex-pastor Msgr Sam Bianco for this act of conscience.
