Well we are on the final lap for the majority of work being completed.
The last couple of weeks have been spent finishing off the sewer line replacement in the driveway. At that point it was found that the driveway dirt was too soggy to pave over. After an engineer checked this out, it was determined that 4 feet of dirt had to be removed and new dirt and gravel mix had to be brought in. This has now been done but paving can not happen till spring. The driveway will be useable as will the ramp at the west side of the church. The interesting find when doing this digging was that the water line coming into the church and the house were one and the same pipe. Also the drain from the house and the church joined together going into the city sewer at the driveway entrance. Very unusual.
The north east Lockwood stairs are being worked on now and these will be done by next week and then the temporary ramp will be removed.
The hall will have the carpet on the stairs and the Atrium installed next week. The hall itself and the new rooms and the two main washrooms are now complete.
The two south washrooms the handicaps, are being worked on now. These were delayed as we were waiting for two back pressure valves which are installed there now. Hopefully one more week for those.
The other issue is replacing some more main heating ducts in the kitchen and hopefully these will also be done next week.
Hopefully one or one and a half weeks to go and we can get back to using the hall.
